Custom Kayaking and Canoeing Instruction
If you prefer individualized attention from your kayak or canoe instructor or have specialized needs, a custom kayaking or canoeing clinic could be ideal. Customs are great for people with unusual schedules or specific skill needs. We regularly run custom clinics as small as one person or as large as twelve people. To set up your custom clinic follow these simple steps:
- Come up with the skills you want to work on and the date(s) that work best for you.
- Call our reservation office at 800 532-7483 and let us know what you want to work on and your preferred dates.
- We will work to set up an instructor for your clinic and we will get back to you to book the clinic.
Please note that we can not fill all custom requests due to instructor availability. The more lead time and possible dates you can give us, the better your chances of being able to book a custom clinic. On busier days, we may ask you to provide a vehicle capable of carrying the instructor, students, boats and gear.
We suggest that beginner paddlers take our scheduled two-day, three-day or five-day Novice Kayak or Canoe clinics because of the opportunity they provide to learn with other beginners and acquire a complete background in the sport.

Private (1 person) weekday: $285.00 weekend: $330.00
Semi-Private (2 ppl) weekday: $180.00 pp; weekend: $220.00 pp
Group (3 or more ppl) weekday: $150.00 pp; weekend: $165.00 pp
